"A Pocketful of Sunshine"
Pocket Cards
I have to confess that I haven't made a pocket card in ages, so I had to look around for samples to get started. Wow, are there some fancy ones! A good place to find several variations of pocket cards (along with tons of other techniques) is Splitcoaststampers Resources. In the end I made up my own because I was suddenly inspired to make a simple pocket in which to insert a bookmark.
Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs, who very kindly gave the Design Team a couple of images to play with. I jumped on this one... Domestic Diva to make for my friend Laureen who is a multiple award-winning amateur chef. In fact, she is just returning home now from a trip to Spain for winning the Star Olive Oil recipe contest! Funny thing, Laureen has long brown hair like the girl in this picture, but I don't think she looks at cookbooks very often. Bon Appetit magazine maybe, but not cookbooks. (*grin*)
Of course, the Garden Variety collection by Cosmo Cricket is PERFECT for this image. I learned the hanging flowers technique from Traci Goshen, who designed and taught the chipboard scrapbook class I took today at my LSS using Garden Variety papers and chipboard pieces. CUTE!!! You can see it on Traci's blog here.
Here's another view showing the bookmark. It's not very fancy... I sorta ran out of time to do more (*sheepish grin"), but it will do the job.
I look forward to seeing YOUR pocket card creations! You'll find lots more inspiration on The Pink Elephant blog. One lucky person who plays in this week's challenge will win FOUR digi images from Sassy Studio Designs!!! Woo hoo!!!
Have a wonderful day, my friends!
