Trick or Treating With Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps

Welcome to the collision of Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps. One fun, fun, fun blog hop!.

How to Participate: Post your creation on your personal blog today (October 29) between 12:00 PM CST (noon) and 5:55 PM CST. The title of your post should be "Trick or Treating with Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps." If possible, your post is to include a Trick (a technique) or a Treat (a gorgeous card).

Once your blog post is complete, visit the Simply Betty Stamps blog and link your exact URL in the Inlinkz list at the bottom of the blog hop post in order to qualify for the prizes. There is no need to sign up in advance, but the Inlinkz list will close at 6:00 PM CST. Then we hop, Halloween style, from the Simply Betty Stamps blog.  If you don't plan to enter a card, still come along and comment. Everyone would appreciate it and you might get super inspired---or spooked!

Prizes: Two blogger participant winners will be announced November 5 and highlighted on the hosting blogs, Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps. Both winners will receive $10 gift vouchers from Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps. Many of the design team members are also offering freebies and prizes along the way, so even if you don't plan to enter a card, come along and find all the tricks and treats!

In the meantime, the Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps and Simply Betty Challenges design teams have already posted their "tricks and treats," so you can start the hop with us at Christy's blog, where you'll also find the full link list in case there's a break along the way.

Here's my treat:
My card features Ghoulfriend and the tree and moon elements from the Twisted Tree and Silver Moon Set by the amazing Christy Croll, Miss Tiddly Inks herself! I created the scene with Photoshop Elements and paired them with DP from the Nite Owl collection by Stampin Up! After a tiny bit of shading and coloring of the images, I finished up with a couple of headstone stickers from Martha Stewart Crafts and a brad from My Mind's Eye.

Here's my trick:

For a balanced design, always create a visual triangle with your images and embellishments. Do you see mine?

The next stop on the DT hop is Lou's blog. Enjoy!

Note, this is my second post for today. Please scroll down for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. Thanks!

Tiddly Inks Halloween Blog Hop!

When I heard that Tiddly Inks was hosting a Halloween Blog Hop, I had to jump in and play! I had the honor of being a Guest Designer for Tiddly Inks, and my heart still belongs to Christy and her adorable images! One of my faves is the Avenger series. When I saw the new Candy Avenger, I couldn't wait to color her up! Isn't she CUTE?!!!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #83 was PERFECT for creating a little Halloween scene. I pulled out my left-over stash from last year's Eerie collection by Basic Grey (at least, I'm pretty sure what it is!). I also glittered up her dress just for fun.

I can't wait to see what the Tiddly Inkers and other hop participants have come up with for Halloween in July Tiddly Inks style! Why not HOP along with me? You'll find the links on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog. See you there!

By the way... ENABLER ALERT ENABLER ALERT ENABLER ALERT...Tiddly Inks is having a sale... 35% off orders of $15 or more, and many images are also on sale. You won't believe how many images you'll get for $15 right now. Woo hoo!!!!

Play All Day!

Play all day... now that sounds good to me! And that's just exactly what kids should be doing during the summer... playing all day. That's what wonderful childhood memories are made of.

Today is sort of a sad day for me because this is my last card/post as a Tiddly Inks Guest Designer. Boo hoo! But all good things must come to an end. I don't really think of this as good-bye because I will always LOVE Tiddly Inks images and will continue to play with them as often as I can. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Christy Croll, the amazing artist and owner of Tiddly Inks, I have plenty to play with! And I will no doubt add to my collection as she produces more irresistible images.

So thank you Christy, a million times over, for the privilege of being a part of your team for the past few months. It's been a truly wonderful experience. And to the Tiddly Inkers, all I can say is that I stand in awe of your incredible art and will continue to follow you all. I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Before I go, though, let's celebrate... why don't you join us this week in the Tiddly Inks Challenge, which is to use the colors red, white and blue in your cards/projects? You'll have a chance to win a $10 voucher to spend in the Tiddly Inks store and a Top 3 badge! Plus, who wouldn't want to play with these adorable images?

My card features Going Swimming Boy (there's also a Going Swimming Girl), which I think is just the cutest thing ever! I played with the Sketch Saturday Week 109 sketch. The DP and chipboard elements are from the Block Party Collection by Bo Bunny, which I love love love! That cool ribbon is something I picked up at CKC from the "Ribbon Lady." If you've been to any expos, you might know her... she's the one who sells all sorts of name brand ribbon for 50 cents a yard. It's ribbon heaven!

Be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Tiddly Inkers came up with using red, white and blue. These girls will knock your socks off, I promise!

And of course the artist herself: Christy Croll!

Life is good!

Yes, it is! Especially since today is Tuesday and it's time for a new challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog! We have an embellishment challenge this week: use buttons and/or lace in your cards/projects!

My card features an adorable image called Everyday Princess... isn't she cute?! The greeting comes from Handwritten Sentiments. The DP is more of that wonderful new Olivia collection by Basic Grey. If I'd had a piece of black lace, I would have been good to go with both challenge embellishments, but the buttons will have to do.

Why not jump on in and play with us this week? There's a prize up for grabs... a $10 voucher to spend in the Tiddly Inks store! And all orders over $15 are 20% off!!!! You'll find all the deets on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog. Be sure to hop around and see what the rest of the amazing Tiddly Inkers have created using buttons and/or lace!

Mr. Roboto

Happy Tuesday! A Tiddly Inks Challenge Tuesday! Our challenge this week is called, "Bleep Bleep Boys and Their Robots"! How fun!

Tiddly Inks offers the most adorable robot images. By playing in our challenge, you have a chance to win a $10 voucher to spend in the Tiddly Inks store, and your card may be chosen for Top 3 award!

I followed Laura's Sketch #54 for my card. The DP is from the Joy Ride collection by Cosmo Cricket, and features Roboto. I LOVE his square balloons!

For even more delightful inspiration, please visit the rest of the Tiddly Inkers blogs to see their super cute robot cards!

Happy Tuesday!

It's always a Happy Tuesday when it's a Tiddly Inks Tuesday! Our challenge today at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog is to make a BABY CARD/PROJECT!

Okay, I confess I haven't made, nor do I need, many baby cards these days because I'm at the in-between time... when my friends have already had babies, and their kids, my kids and my kids' friends haven't yet started having babies. I haven't even gotten to the wedding part yet... just college graduations! First things first! {LOL} But I sure had fun playing with this ADORABLE image by Tiddy Inks called Double Trouble Bumble Bears (you can also get Mama with a girl or Father with a boy). I figure this would be a great card for someone having twins... or their second child.

I followed Card Patterns Sketch 67. The DP is actually digi paper from Pink Petticoat... the Turquoise version of Bubbles.

I hope you'll join us in the Tiddly Inks Challenge this week! There's a chance to win a $15 voucher to spend in the store!!! Yowser!!! And did you know that orders for more than $15 in the Tiddly Inks store receive a 25% discount? Yes they do!!!

Be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Tiddly Inkers have created in the way of baby cards/projects. They are sure to tickle your fancy!

And of course the artist herself: Christy Croll!

Pinky!

Happy Tuesday! I love Tiddly Tuesdays, don't you? Our Tiddly Inks Challenge this week is BLING. You don't have to twist my arm... I LOVE bling!

I'm also LOVING this adorable new image AND digi paper that Christy just released in the Tiddly Inks store. That's Pinky, and the coordinating digi paper is called Skully. You can also get Skully as part of a three pack called Down to my Bones. Love love love!

The sketch is another fabulous one by Kazan at 2 Sketches 4 You.

I hope you'll come play in our challenge this week for a chance to not only play with some ADORABLE images, but also for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the Tiddly Inks store! For more inspiration, take a look at what the rest of the Tiddly Inkers and Guest Tiddly Inkers have blinged up:

Happy Day!

Happy Day indeed! I've got a LOT to share with you today... three posts! Whew!!! But I hope you enjoy them all.

The first is for Tiddly Inks Challenge #5. I don't know about you, but I'm in LOVE with Tiddly Inks images! And guess what!!! There's a sale going on at Tiddly Inks... get 20% off of orders of $15 or more. OMGoodness!!!

The challenge this week is NO DESIGNER PAPER AND/OR MAKE YOUR OWN DP USING STAMPS OR DIGI IMAGES. I immediately reached for the Happy Day Set so that I could use the row of muffins to make some background paper. I simply "duplicated layer" over and over again in Photoshop Elements until I'd filled a page, cropping a bit to make the muffins alternate properly.

I love the black and white look in the background, which makes the color pop. You can get Happy Bugg as an individual image, if you prefer, but I think the set is a much better deal. (*grin*)  I loosely modeled my card on Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 69.

I hope you'll come play in our challenge this week for a chance to not only play with some ADORABLE images, but also for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the Tiddly Inks store! For more inspiration, take a look at what the rest of the Tiddly Inkers and Guest Tiddly Inkers have created using no DP:

So What's the Question?

Hey y'all! The question is: what time is it??? The answer is: it's Tiddly Inks Challenge time!!! Woot woot!!!

Our challenge this week is to use the colors yellow, orange and turquoise in your card/project. I love those colors together... so summer-y!  I dug around in my stash and found a bit of DP from the Pink Flamingo collection by Stampin Up, which pairs perfectly (of course) with Tempting Turquoise, along with a bit of the 72 & Sunny DP by We R Memory Keepers.

This ADORABLE image is called Inky Avenger, which comes with two greetings. I just LOVE the Avenger series of digis by Tiddly Inks. This particular image and greeting are perfect for me, because I've been known to lose track of the question from time to time...isn't that right Betty? (*grin*)

I channeled my friend Alice in the design of this card... I love the way Alice makes cards using the Labels 8 Nesties by Spellbinders, so I decided to try it myself. I'm definitely making these more often! Thanks Alice! You always inspire and delight me with your WONDERful art!

Won't you come play with us at Tiddly Inks this week? Christy has added tons of new images to the store, and more are being added today. For lots of inspiration, be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Tiddly Inkers and Guest Tiddly Inkers have come up with using these fun summer colors:

Material Girl

Happy Tuesday! Wow, I love Tiddly Tuesdays!!! Our challenge this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog is to use FABRIC in our cards/projects. I love that! I'm a big fabric girl anyway because my other crafting passion is quilting. Fabric today comes in so many amazing colors, patterns and textures, just like designer paper. It's like visual nirvana!

This ADORABLE image is called Whatcha Doin. OMGosh, can you say CUTE!!!! Naturally, I thought of the Material Girl DP by Cosmo Cricket when I heard about the challenge, so that's what you see as my background paper. However, the fabric strips are from Anna Griffin, as is the fabric I used to make my flower. I got the technique from Betsy Veldman's tutorial. I love making flowers!

For My Dear Mother-in-Law

Happy Tuesday!!! Time for our second challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog!!! The challenge this week is to make a Mother's Day card/project, so I decided to make a card for my dear mother-in-law. She really IS very dear to me.

Kazan's Sketch 51 at 2 Sketches 4 You was perfect for this sweet image, which is currently a freebie offered to members of the Tiddly Inks Papercraft Planet Group. If you join our Group, you can grab this image for free, too... but only for a limited time, so don't delay! It's called "March 30 freebie wonky flowers."

The DP is from the Ooh La La collection by My Mind's Eye, and the page pebble anchoring the greeting is by K&Company. It's a very simple card, but simple can be good sometimes, right? Especially when you're working with a wonderful image like this one!

Please join us this week at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the Tiddly Inks store! You must use a Tiddly Inks image, but there are plenty of freebies available on the Papercraft Planet Group.  Better yet, click on over to the Tiddly Inks store and grab a few of your favorites!!! New images are being added all the time!

For more inspiration be sure to visit the Tiddly Inkers and Guest Tiddly Inkers to see what they have created for Mother's Day:

Cherry Bugg

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! Tuesdays just got happier for me because they are the start of new weekly challenges at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog!!! I am sooooo jazzed to be a Guest Tiddly Inker. I'm in LOVE with Christy's adorable images, and Christy is a pretty cool person herself. (*smile*)

Our very first challenge is Anything Goes... just create any new card/project that showcases a Tiddly Inks image. If you don't have one already, head over to the Tiddly Inks Papercraft Planet Group to grab a freebie... or, better yet, go shopping in the Tiddly Inks store! By playing in our challenge you could win a $10 voucher to spend in the Tiddly Inks store! Woo hoo!!!

My card features one of my favorite images Cherry Bugg. Who doesn't love a cupcake? It was a natural fit for this week's inspiration challenge at Hope Stamps Eternal. The DP is from the Be Loved Collection by My Minds Eye, which I still love. I have a thing for polka dots. And I also now have a thing for Prima roses! (*grin*)

And, of course, a great sketch is always a good place to start, and Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge is always a winner!

Come on and play with us! But first, check out all the wonderful cards created by the Tiddly Inkers posted on the new Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog! They'll knock your socks off!

Have a tiddly Tuesday !!!

Happy Birthday Ceal!!!

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for this week's La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge.

Today is Ceal Pritchett's birthday, one of our Stampin' Sisters in Christ, and we're throwing her a virtual birthday party! The party started at Candace's blog, so if you didn't start at the beginning, I encourage you to do so. This is going to be fun!

Ceal's daughter is currently stationed in Germany, and I happen to know Ceal misses her daughter very much... and Courtney misses her mom. Soooo, Ceal, I'm giving you a trip to Germany for your birthday!!! I hope you enjoy your time there, even if only in your heart!!! Believe me, girl, if I could, I really would book a flight for you right this minute!

And here's a little card, just for you, made with an adorable freebie image from Tiddly Inks!

Hello!

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down or click here to see this week's Oh, Alice! challenge card. So fun!

Time for another fabulous sketch at The Sweet Stop! I love Korin's sketches, and this one is especially sweet... there are lots of fun ways to interpret it.

I guess you could say I'm going hybrid with this sweet card... all of the paper elements are from the Summer Conversations digi kit by Holly Brooke Jones for My Cute Stamps. I really should stop visiting my friend Alice's blog... every time I do, I end up buying something! lol She's got me turned on to digi kits now. Let's face it, who has time to sleep?

The SWEET image is Joy Bugg Girl Fairy, a digi image by Tiddlyinks. I have a few more of these darlings to play with, so stay tuned!

I'm laughing to myself right now because I just realized that those are a cap and WINGS, not a straw hat, like I thought! LOL!!!!!!! Oh well...fairies can have yellow wings, can't they? Or just cross your eyes and pretend it's a straw hat! hahahahaha!

I sure hope you'll come and play with us this week at The Sweet Stop. Be sure to stop by and check out the amazing works of art by the rest of the Sugar Babies. Those girls ROCK!

Have a magical day, my friends!
