Princess Chloe

Woo hoo, it's time for another FUN challenge at The Pink Elephant!!!

CHILDHOOD
(PLAYFUL FUN, DRESS-UP, ANYTHING WITH A CHILD)

Our sponsor this week is Claudia & Company, who produces the Puddle Jumpers designed by the wonderful LORi Boyd. This month, they released two new ADORABLE images... Princess Chloe and Cowboy McCoy. Lucky us, the Design Team girls (Ella's Girls) got to play with them!!!

My card features Princess Chloe. I have to say that these images just get cuter and cuter!!! Chloe is so much fun to color, and perfect for this week's theme challenge.

I paired Princess Chloe with some of my favorite DP and chipboard accents from the Pixilicious collection by Cosmo Cricket. The greeting is by SRM.

You won't want to miss seeing what the rest of Ella's Girls created with Princess Chloe and Cowboy McCoy, so head on over to The Pink Elephant blog and take a look!

Have a wonderful start to the week, my friends!!!

School!

Happy Saturday! So what do you have planned this weekend? We are going to put the hammer down on finishing up some projects around the house. I have only eight more days to get things done before my dear friend Debbie comes to visit from Australia (I'm so excited!), which happens to roughly coincide with the student athletes returning and Paul getting too busy to help. So I'd better eat my Wheaties and get the troops organized to help!

Of course, a bit of crafting is always on the agenda... a girl's gotta have a break now and then! I'm sure the same goes for you, so why not play along with us at Sketch Saturday!

I turned the sketch upside down so that I could fit the school bus and school images in the right spots. Those are made with a mini stamp set by W R Memory Keepers. The star of the show is School Boy Landon by LORi Boyd for Claudia & Company! Landon is ready for school, with pencil in hand! Isn't he adorable?

The DP is from the Jack's World collection by Cosmo Cricut, which I dug out of my stash. It's funny the things you find when you go digging around in your stash. (*grin*) I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink.

Be sure to stop by the Sketch Saturday blog to see the other delicious cards made by the design team. We can't wait to see what you come up with using this fun sketch!

Have a wonderful day!

Miss Garcia

Hello everyone! Today is the release of a brand new digi image set by the fabulous LORi Boyd for Claudia & Company! This one is called Sugar Stick Teacher Set. This cutie teacher image comes with several accessories, three of which you see in my card.

My sweet friend Alicia Garcia is a teacher, so I couldn't resist personalizing this card for her. I used Photoshop Elements to color in the chalkboard, and then set the text color to white to write her name on the board. Of course, who uses chalkboards anymore? I think they have gone the way of the dodo bird in favor of white boards and smart boards. Too bad because I LOVED writing on chalkboards when I was a child. In fact, I wanted to be a teacher just so I could write on a chalkboard. The one and only time I ever got sent to the principal's office was because I kept writing on the chalkboard when the teacher told me to stop! LOL!!!

Anyway, this is just such a fun set... I know you'll love it, too!

The DP and cardstock stickers are from the Report Card collection by October Afternoon. I also played with Card Patterns Sketch 77.

Please be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Claudia & Company Design Team have come up with using this cute set!

Mary Giles
Sheri Gilson
Tracy Clemente
and LORi Boyd herself!

Have a great day!

P.S. Don't forget... there's still time to play in the Claudia & Company challenge!

School Days!

It's hard to believe, but it's school time again... either already, or very soon. My kids start back on the 23rd, but I know lots of kids have already started. Whatever happened to the days when school didn't start until September???

It's also time once again for our monthly challenge at Claudia & Company!!!

We have a fantastic sketch challenge for you this month! You have until September 14th to play for a chance to win a prize! Our only requirement is that you use a Claudia & Company stamp. I can't wait to see what you create with these cuties!

My card features the new Puddle Jumpers School Time Lucy. She is just too cute for words with her book bag, ready to catch the bus! The DP is from We R Memory Keepers; the metal sign came from my stash (I'm doing a lot of digging around in my craft room these days.)

Be sure to pop over to the Claudia & Company blog to see how the rest of the design team interpreted this fun sketch. I can't wait to see for myself! Those girls ROCK!!!

Have a great day!

 SOMETHING YUMMY

Our featured sponsor is By LORi Designs, and no one does it YUMMIER than LORi!

My card features Lollipop Landon holding an ice cream cone. I LOVE ice cream. It's my favorite dessert. Just ask my husband who makes Coldstone runs on a weekly basis! Yummy!

The DP and arrow sticker are from the Block Party collection by Bo Bunny, which are on sale at Simply Betty Stamps through tomorrow (Tuesday)! I cut the greeting out of one of the patterned papers.

Lollipops are such cuties and so much fun to color... plus instant gratification with the click of a few buttons! Why not come along and play with us this week? I can't wait to see what YOUR something yummy turns out to be!

Have a SWEET day!

A Sketch Saturday HI!

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm having such a BLAST being a Guest Designer for Sketch Saturday this month!!! The sketches are so much fun the play with, and everyone's so nice!

I turned this week's sketch on its side for my card featuring the adorable Sugar Sticks Girl With Kite by LORi Boyd. This image seems like a match made in heaven paired with DP and stickers from the A Walk In The Park collection by Echo Park. Obviously, this year's summer papers are really singing to my heart. I can't seem to get enough of their bright and cheerful colors!

I'll be anxious to see what you come up with using this sketch! Have a wonderful weekend, my friends. Thank you so much for stopping by!

More Summer Fun... Puddle Jumper Style!

I've been having such fun with summer cards this year. The images and papers are just too much fun, even for a die-hard winter gal like me! And when you've got a great sketch to play with, you're good to go!

Happy Friday everyone! Time for a new Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I know I say this a lot, but I really mean it... I LOVE this sketch and plan to use it again. Okay, so I admit it... I LOVE all Taylor's sketches! LOL

Those adorable images are Puddle Jumpers Hannah and Christian by the lovely LORi Boyd. The DP is from a past Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit, which featured papers from the Snorkel collection by Cosmo Cricket. Still a classic!

Why not come along and play with us this week? You'll definitely be inspired when you see what the rest of the Sketch Crew has come up with... these ladies ROCK the sketches!

Jami Sibley: More is More
Lori Craig: Make a Difference
Melissa Sauls: In Stamping Mode
Monika Davis: M.A.D. Stamper

Rosie Hughes: Love My Craft Room
Sherrie Siemens: Card Creme
and of course Taylor herself: Taylored Expressions

I hope you have a sunshine-y, fun Friday!

Hi There! It's time for a Claudia & Company Challenge!

Yes indeed, it's time for our monthly Claudia & Company challenge!

Color Challenge: Pink and Aqua

I am head over heels in love with the new Claudia & Company July releases, including this sweetheart... Sugar Sticks Girl With Kite by the amazing LORi Boyd! And she happens to coordinate PERFECTLY with the Summertime collection by Echo Park. You can get a sampler pack of this paper at Die Cuts R Us for only $2.75. Yes, you heard me correctly! Woo hoo! There also happens to be a MEGA "Getting Ready for CHA" sale going on through July 12th in case you didn't see my earlier Enabler Alert. hee hee

Anyhoo, I can't resist Mercy's sketches, and Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #81 is no exception. I cut out the cloud from one of the Summertime papers for the "flower element" in the sketch. And check out that cool "hi there" greeting... I'm totally addicted to So Random Sentiments Set (Up/Down Edition). So often there just isn't room for a horizontal greeting, but a vertical one is just right!

I hope you'll come along and play with us this month! You have until August 12th, so there's plenty of time. You must use a Claudia & Company image, but you KNOW you love them and you WANT to play!!! There are lots of digis available in addition to rubber, so take your pick and jump on in!

And be sure to click on over to the Claudia & Company blog to see what the rest of the amazing design team ladies have created for this fun color challenge.

TGIF!!!!

Welcome to the Claudia & Company July Release Day Blog Hop!

Woo hoo! It's time once again for another FABULOUS release from Claudia & Company! And let me just say, the three stamps being released today are the CUTEST things ever!!! All three are designed by the sweet and talented LORi Boyd.

Speaking of LORi, you should have landed here from her blog. If not, you'll want to be sure to start the HOP at the Claudia & Company blog and leave a comment on each blog along the way for a chance to win a PRIZE!!

First up is Puddle Jumpers Christian!  Isn't he cute with his shovel and pail and that awesome hat?! He reminds me of my Avery. (*grin*) The paper is Rusted Sun by Fancy Pants Designs. The sampler pack at Die Cuts R Us appears to be sold out, but there are lots of other yummy papers to choose from! The sun and boat stick pins are also by Fancy Pants... I found them in a dollar bin at CKC. What luck! The sketch is by Merci Kerin for Crazy 4 Challenges 43.

Next up is Puddle Jumpers Hannah! I LOVE her hair and the sunglasses on her head, and that adorable tankini. Plus, she comes with a star fish stamp (shown) and a little fish stamp (not shown). The DP is from the My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary collection, which I LOVE! It's a double-sided textured paper that is oh so color-icious! The dimensional sticker is by K&Company, and the banner is a stamp by Hero Arts. The sketch is Friday Sketchers #108.

Last, but certainly not least, is Sugar Sticks Girl With Kite. Isn't she cute?! She also comes with the greeting "Oh Happy Day" (not shown). That fun paper is from Echo Park's Summertime Collection (I adore the colors and patterns!), as are the sticker embellies.

I know you're going to want to run, not walk, to Die Cuts R Us to pick up your new stamps! But before you do, the next stop on the HOP is Claudia's blog! Enjoy!

P.S. Good news! Claudia & Company stamps has gone wholesale! Yep, that means you'll see them popping up at your favorite on-line retailers soon!

i love you

Happy Monday everyone! Remember to smile because we don't want to count our lives by weekends or we'll only have 104 days each year to be happy and enjoy!

Besides, it's time for a color challenge at The Pink Elephant!

And the color challenge is PINK AND BLACK... the official Ella colors!

Our showcase sponsor is By LORi Designs! Yep, it's the fabulous LORI Boyd who designed Ella (shown in my card) and her brother Sammy (as well as the Puddle Jumpers, Sugar Sticks, and Lollipops)! I can't tell you how much I LOVE to color Ella and Sammy... they are such a delight, they make me smile all the time.

I followed the Friday Sketchers Sketch 107, and used Prism cardstock and DP by Making Memories. I also used more of that fun Washi tape I'm coming to love, and this gorgeous rose I found at CKC... it's by Prima. FYI the perfect Copic markers for coloring Ella pink are R81, R83 and R85.

Please come and join us in our PINK AND BLACK color challenge this week! I'd love to see what you come up with! And be sure to drop by Die Cuts R Us to pick up your very own Ella and Sammy stamps. You will LOVE them as much as we do! For more inspiration, be sure to stop by The Pink Elephant blog to see what the rest of the Design Team created with our girl Ella! Go Team Ella!!!

Have a wonderful day, my friends!

Posies for you... and a very worthy cause

It's me again! Did you miss me? LOL!

I just had to show off a card I made at the CKC preview crop yesterday... featuring these cute funky flowers I'm calling "posies." Don't you love them? It's a new digi image just released by Claudia & Company as part of the June digi release. You simply must jump over to the Claudia & Company blog to see them all and the CUTEST cards made by the DT. OMGoodness!!! They are too wonderful for words! And don't you love the instant gratification (and awesome price) of digis? I do!

Claudia & Company stamps (and digi images) are sold exclusively at Die Cuts R Us, which also offers an amazing array of papers, embellishments and other goodies, including some awesome paper sampler packs and coordinating Prism cardstock packs at fantastic prices!  Enabler alert: The Greeting Farm stamp sets are 25% off this week!!!!!

And here's another little card I made while I should have been cropping! (*grin*) This one features an adorable digi image called Macie's Rainbow designed by the fabulous LORi Boyd for a fundraiser called Mission 4 Macie. The proceeds benefit Macie and children with epilepsy and a rare disease called GLUT1. Please please please click on the link to read all about Macie and this rare disease and all that's being done to raise funds and awareness... and pick up your very own Macie's Rainbow digi image! How can you possibly resist? Even if you don't like digis, you can print them out on computer paper and let your kids or grandkids color her.

Thanks everyone! I'll be back again soon!

Birthday Princess

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! Fridays just got better with the launch of a new sketch challenge at Claudia & Company! Woo hoo!!! You know me... I love a good sketch challenge!

The fabulous LORi Boyd designed the sketch for our first challenge. As you can see, I turned it on its side... a perfect frame for the wonderful crown image and Birthday Princess greeting from the new Birthday Princess stamp set by Claudia & Company.

I'm sorry I can't recall the name of the DP... I had some scraps left over from another princess card and had already cut off the label. I love the way it glitters. The crown is colored with a Gelly Roll Metallic Gold pen, which I also used to "gold leaf" the corner piece by Melissa Frances. This is definitely one that looks better IRL... my photograph doesn't do justice to the gold and glitter... but it's there!

Our Claudia & Company sketch challenges will be monthly... on the second Friday of every month... so you have lots of time to play. You must use a Claudia & Company image on your cards/projects, but with so many adorable ones to choose from, including some digis, that's so easy!

Be sure to stop by the Claudia & Company blog to see all the super wonderful creations by the amazing Design Team and for all the details regarding the challenge. You definitely won't want to miss the eye candy!

Thanks for stopping by today, my friends! Have a wonderful day!

Don't forget, there's still time to enter to win my blog candy! The drawing is on Monday!

Smile!

Smile everyone! It's Monday!!! Okay, no one say "ugh"... time flies, so we need to embrace each day. Plus, it's time for a Recipe Challenge at The Pink Elephant! Woo hoo!!!

The Recipe is: The Color Red, Scallops and a Bow!

My card features the adorable Ella herself, which you can now purchase in RUBBER!!! Hey hey hey!!! She and her brother Sammy are available at Die Cuts R Us! Seeing those sweet elephants makes me SMILE, how about you?

I followed Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge 18. I just LOVE this sketch! The DP is by Pebbles Treehouse, part of the Taylored Expressions May Key Ingredients Kit. I just love bright and cheerful paper (if you hadn't noticed!).

If my coloring of Ella seems a bit better than usual, I have Suzanne Dean to thank. I'm taking her Color Me Creative Class 2 and it is really great! I'm a very visual learner, and Suzanne's videos are excellent. I highly recommend the class! I'm sure I'll take 3 and 4 after I finish 2. I skipped 1 because I'm Copic certified, so I already know the basics. I just really want to step up my coloring skills.

Okie dokie. I hope you'll come back later and check out a couple of special posts I have coming up today. Remember to smile! It's Monday!
