As if trying to adjust to the time change isn't enough, I'm going to ask you to pretend it's Saturday. I'm running a tad bit behind with my weekend posts. (*sheepish grin*) You wouldn't think it would be difficult to get four young men ready for a fancy wedding, would you? ha! And despite my warnings (and good intentions), most of the running around to pull outfits together didn't occur until the 11th hour. Somewhere in the midst of all that excitement, my mojo left town. So please bear with me and pretend it's Saturday and time for another fabulous sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday!!!
Jo has come up with another fun sketch for us to play with... I'm loving all the circles! I paired this sweet Gnome image by Whiff of Joy with patterned paper from the Campfire collection by October Afternoon. The greeting stamp is by Verve.
Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Simon Says Stamp, offering a $25 Gift Certificate to spend on goodies in their store!!! Wow, I wish I could win that! lol SSS offers lots of yummy Whiff of Joy stamps.
I hope you'll come along and play with us this week! Be sure to nip on over to the Sketch Saturday blog to see the lovely cards made by the rest of the design team using this sketch. You will surely be inspired!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back soon, asking you to pretend it's Sunday. (*wink*)

Beautiful Original You!
Happy Friday! Wow this week has zoomed by for me. It's one of those "feast or famine" situations... I'll have weeks go by with very little going on and then boom, lunch dates and/or appointments every day for a week. But it's all been good. :)
I'm popping in today to share a card I made with Ally, one of the new Girlfriends Collection by La-La Land Crafts. A bit different from Marci and Luka, but with a special look all her own! You'll be meeting one of her friends very soon. ;) I paired Ally with patterned paper from the Restoration collection by Crate Paper. I cut the scallops from one of the papers, sponged and layered them with pop dots. I cut the cards from another piece of the paper, sponged and mounted them behind Ally. The words are from the coordinating sticker sheet.
Gotta run. I hope you have a la la lovely day! I'll be back soon with more!
P.S. My heart and prayers go out to all those affected by the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan.

Kiss Kiss
We're having a celebration today at La-La Land Crafts, and you're invited! The fun starts at the La-La Land Crafts blog, so if you haven't been there yet, you'll definitely want to hop over there and follow along for all the fun!
We are celebrating the release of the wonderful new Marci and Luka images (The Playtime Collection)... plus a new family member Ally...in rubber! They've been available in digi, but now you rubber stamp lovers can hold them in your hands!
I'm showcasing Doctor Marci, who is tending to her little panda. Adorable! Raise your hand if you played doctor when you were little. Okay, maybe you don't want to admit it. (*wink*) This image makes a sweet "get well soon" card, don't you think? I've paired her with patterned paper from the Little Girl collection by Echo Park. That beautiful crocheted flower was hand made for me by my bestie (and LLLC teammate) Kim Yu! Thanks Kim!
My card follows this month's sketch at Sketch for You to Try.
Now on you go to 1LuvnMama's blog to see what wonderfulness she has in store for you! Enjoy!

Wishing You a Wonderful Day
A blessed Transfiguration Sunday to you! This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Our challenge hostess this week at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is our very dear Chris Olsen. Chris chose as her inspiration scripture Isaiah 40:7 "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever." Her challenge is to use a stamped flower image on your card/project (note that patterned paper, embossing or paper flowers do no count as a stamped flower.)
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our Lord will stand forever. Everything here on earth is temporal my friends...the good and the bad. Which is why we should count our blessings when things are good... and count them again when they are bad... because all these things shall pass. But God's love for us is eternal. His word never falters. He always keeps his promises. Once we leave this world and enter into His kingdom, we'll have eternal life and be reunited with those who have passed before us. What joy that will be!
A brief word about my card... the image and greeting are from Hero Arts. After stamping the floral image in Deep Lagoon chalk ink (Colorbox), I covered it in Tim Holtz Distress Clear Crackle Paint. I think goofed it up because I got some bubbles and the crackle didn't break the way I thought it should. I'll have to try again. (Tip: don't wait until the last minute to make your challenge card so that you're too tired for a do-over if you mess up. lol) I made the flower using a running stitch on wide ribbon and pulling it tight.
I hope you'll join is this week at SSIC. Our sponsor is Clear Dollar Stamps, who is offering a $15 GC to spend on clear stamps. But the greatest reward is the fellowship. I urge you to visit the SSIC blog to see what the rest of our amazing design team has created with stamped flowers AND to visit each of their blogs. I truly believe you will be blessed.
I really do wish you a wonderful day!

Cheeky Howdy!
Howdy... and Happy Saturday! Time for another wonderful sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday!!!
It's Cazza's turn to host the challenge and she's come up with a great sketch for us to play with. My card features Cheeky Howdy from The Greeting Farm. I admit I'm a bit keen on retro, so the Cheeky Cherry series is one of my faves.
I also turned to a favorite for the patterned paper... yep, that's "vintage" Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket. The colors and patterns of that paper still make me happy. *smile* I created the border with my Magnolia DooHickey Cherry Lace die.
I hope you'll come along and play with us this week. Our sponsor is Lisa B Designs. Such cute critters has she... plus, I'm partial to her name. *wink* For more inspiration, be sure to jump over to the Sketch Saturday blog to see all the goodness created by the fantastic design team. We're an international group, don't you know. I love it!

When Sweet Meets Sassy... Susana's Custom Art and Card Design New Release Blog Hop!
Happy Friday! It's an extra happy day for me because I have the honor and pleasure of participating in a blog hop today celebrating the latest Victoria Case release at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD)!!! The fun begins on the SCACD blog, where you'll find the links to all the blogs on today's hop just in case there's a break along the way. If you've arrived here from Lori's blog you're on the right track!
My first card (above) features one of the fun new images in the The Retro Crew Collection! This cutie is Hot Stuff. Isn't she wonderful? If you buy the entire set of four images, you get a bonus lava lamp stamp. Cool beans! Retro is hot, and Hot Stuff proves it!
My second card features a gorgeous image from the Bonita Collection. She's called Victoria Bonita, named for the artist Victoria Case. Isn't she beautiful? There are also four images in this collection, and if you buy the set, you get a flourish stamp as a bonus. Once you see all of the images, I know you're gonna want them all! I know I do!
Good news for European buyers... you can buy SCACD stamps directly from Quixotic Paperie, exclusive retailer of SCACD images overseas!
Both of my cards feature patterned paper by Basic Grey, which you can find at SCACD, along with bundled Copic markers that you can select based on sample artwork. Check it out! The embellies on my Hot Stuff card were made by my dear friend Sarah Martina Parker, and those on the Victoria Bonita card are Basic Grey coordinating chipboard pieces.
Next on the hop is the wonderful Kim Costello's blog. But before you go, I have another exciting annoucement... SCACD will be starting a fabulous new challenge blog in April!!! Yep, that's right! You can jump over there now and become a follower so that you'll be right up to date as things develop. I'm over-the-moon thrilled to be on the inaugural design team!!! I still can't believe it! How lucky am I???
Okay, I won't keep you a moment longer... on you go to Kim's. Enjoy the hop!

Hello!
Hello! I'm popping in to share a card featuring adorable Sitting Marci from La-La Land Crafts. Sitting Marci is one of the seven new images released at CHA. They've been available in digi format since then, but are now will soon be available in RUBBER!
I don't know about you, but I love them all! LLLC stamps are by far some of my most favorite images to color. :)
I played with this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers. The patterned paper is from the Campfire collection by October Afternoon. I went a bit crazy with the die cuts and felt. (*grin*)
Be sure to stop in tomorrow at the La-La Land Crafts blog for a special blog hop celebrating the release! Edited: the rubber release blog hop is being rescheduled for next week, so stay tuned!
Thanks to all who have voted in my little survey... there's still time to cast your vote... it's on the right column of my blog. Right now, it's a statistical dead heat for all the prizes. The reason for my survey will soon be revealed!
Have a la la lovely day!
Chef Marci
Doctor Marci
Magician Luka
Pilot Luka
Sitting Marci
Capri Marci
and from the new Girlfriends Collection, Ally!
