The La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge is being hosted this week by the wonderfully creative and thoughtful Elena Joldersma. She challenges us to "go green" with our cards/projects in the sense of recycling. She shares lots of great ideas in the blog post.
The recycled element of my card is the background paper, made from some of the packaging material that came in a recent shipment of crafting goodies. I cut out a piece and, since it was already a bit wrinkled, crinkled it up and then smoothed it out. I love how it looks against the red cardstock. The polka dot paper and the yellow ribbon were both "cast-offs" laying on my craft table, so in a way, they are recycled, too... saved from the rubbish bin!
Darling Lala With Rose is reminding us why we need to respect Mother Earth... so that we can continue to enjoy the beauty of a single flower, and so much more!
I hope you'll come and play with us this week at La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge. The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to spend on rubber stamps in the La-La Land Crafts store. Plus, since Elena used Pirate Lala on her card for the challenge, you can purchase Pirate Lala this week for 20% off!
Ahoy Mateys! See you in La-La Land!!! In the meantime, I'm going to rescue more of that brown paper out of the trash can...
