The Lord Bless You and Keep You

"The Lord Bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26. I love that scripture. I love that blessing. Our pastor closes every service with it (or a variation thereon). Hearing those words fills me with peace.

A blessed Fourth Sunday in Lent to you, my friends! Our hostess this week at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is the sweet Helen Phelps. She chose as the inspiration scripture, "Psalm 29:11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace." The challenge is to make a card/layout/project using a peaceful image or a verse about peace.

I followed Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #64 for my card. It gave me just the inspiration I needed to showcase my friend Nina Brackett's digi design of Numbers 6:24-26, available at Squigglefly. The DP and chipboard are from the Earth Love collection by Cosmo Cricket.

I hope you'll stop by the Stampin' Sisters In Christ blog to read what Helen has to say about her scripture choice and to see all the PEACEful cards by our amazing design team. Better yet, come and play! We'd love to see what you create!

Numbers 6:24-26 is my prayer for each of you. Have a blessed day!

Beautiful, Lisa! I love this verse too! From my own youth, it was our Methodist Youth Fellowship benediction, and now my son says it at the close of his youth group gatherings. Love the pretty papers you used, the soft lace, and that cute birdie! Adorable card! Reminds me that He cares for me more than the sparrows! ;)

Hi, Lisa. I went to make a comment about your card yesterday but got caught up in the sentiment you used and had to check it out at squigglefly. I'm hopelessly addicted to all things stamping!

My comment is that your card is beautiful. I especially love the lace and buttons. I have loved this blessing since I was young.

I was so glad that Helen chose it as her verse it is one of my favorites too and they used to say something similar to that verse each Sunday at the church we attended when I was growing up. Your image and colors are so pretty, great choices to accent the verse.
