The Joy of Summer

Okay, so maybe I'm getting ahead of the seasons a little bit, but that's what the stamp says!

Hello my friends! It's time for another terrific Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge! Plus, it's new release day at Taylored Expressions. Three new stamp sets and two new Key Ingredients kits are being released, plus they are celebrating one year since the debut of the Whimsical Wishes line with a free gift with purchase... a set of digis designed by Nancy McKinney. My card features one of the four seasons depicted in the digi stamp set. I just couldn't resist that butterfly!

For those of you who may not be familiar, every three months Taylored Expressions releases a new stamp set, a portion of the proceeds from which go to a specified charity. This month, the charity is CureSearch. CureSearch unites the world's largest childhood cancer research organization, the Children's Oncology Group, and the National Childhood Cancer Foundation through [its] mission to cure childhood cancer. Research is the key to the cure.

I can't think of a better mission, can you? I can't bear to think of what it must be like for a parent whose child suffers from cancer. I thank God every day that my boys are healthy.

You can read more about why Taylor chose this charity on her blog at this link. Such a touching story. Cheers to Taylor for doing this wonderful thing!

Now, back to my card. I turned the sketch on its side to fit the butterfly digi image. I couldn't resist pulling out my February Key Ingredients kit. I just love the concept of black and white with a pop of color. This time, I used yellow. (Some of you might remember this card, where I used dark red.) Fun! Can you see the black rhinestones on the butterfly itself? And I tried a new style of paper flower. What do you think?

Well, off I go to shop! I do hope you'll play along in this week's sketch challenge. No doubt, you'll be inspired by what the rest of the Sketch Crew came up with:

Jami Sibley: More is More
Lynn Mercurio: Stamperosity
Monika Davis: M.A.D. Stamper
Melissa Sauls: In Stamping Mode
Rachel Sztonyk: Gingerbread Gallery
Alice Lihsuan-Wertz: Alice's Little Wonderland
Lori Craig: Make a Difference
and of course Taylor herself: Taylored Expressions

Have a JOYful day!
