Happy Birthday to Moo!

Today is my La-La Land Crafts Design Teammate Maureen's birthday, and we're having a virtual party for her on the La-La Land Crafts Blog! Happy Birthday Maureen! Maureen is lucky to live in Hawaii, so I just had to use this cute image, Banjo Maya, and paper piece a moo moo... I mean a mumu... for her! And, since I love puns, I went with Happy Birthday to MOO!

The paper is from the 8 x 8 Cosmo Cricket pad called Hello Sunshine, which I've had for ages. The designs worked perfectly with this image after doing a bit of "fussy cutting" to get the patterns right where I wanted them. And see that black lacy border punch? That's from Martha Stewart Crafts. It's one of those detailed punches that does NOT like cardstock. I read somewhere that if you put those punches in the freezer, they will punch right through. So I tried it, and I'll be darned, it worked! You have to work fast, though, because as the punch thaws, so does its ability to bite through cardstock. Now I keep all my detailed punches in the freezer. My husband and kids think I'm nuts, but... they're right! {LOL}

How are you spending your Labor Day? Not laboring, I hope. We are off to spend the day at the beach with some friends, which will be heaven... until we hit the freeway home. Oh well... it'll be worth it!

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

What a fun card Lisa!!! Happy Birthday to Maureen - hope she has a wonderful day! Thanks for the super tip on the punches - I had never heard that, but will try it. I get a bit grumpy when I pay $14 for a punch that won't punch!!! lol - Great card!!!
