The 11th Anniversary of my 39th Birthday!

This is the second of three posts today. I hope you'll scroll down to see the first titled "Joy of Giving" for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge after you finish here.

Hello my friends! If you are reading this on Sunday, November 29th, then I'm celebrating the 11th anniversary of my 39th birthday! I'm not feeling too badly about turning (gulp) 50, probably because most of my friends (and my husband) are older than me, so I feel like the "baby." I love reminding them on their birthdays that they should always remember that no matter how old they get, I'll always be younger!

Truthfully, though, I've come to the realization that time is indeed passing. Even if I'm lucky enough to have just recently passed the half-way point of my life, I don't have endless amounts of time left in this life on earth. I've resolved to make some changes so that the quality of my life is better, and to do the things I really want to do, not put them off for another day that may never come. That includes getting rid of a lot of negative emotional baggage I've been carrying around for too long. You've gotta have a plan peeps, and I have one! I've asked God to guide me and be with me in all things. He knows the desires of my heart most of all. With Him as my compass, I cannot fail!

I also happen to be blessed with the most amazing friends and family who truly make me feel like the Queen on my birthday! I've received many birthday cards and gifts from friends I've made over this past year through blog land, and I can't tell you how uplifted and loved I feel! Take a look at this beauties and you'll see why:

From Kathy Winter

From Kim Yu

From Kristine Breach

From Michelle Yungbauer

Aren't these gorgeous? Am I lucky or what? These ladies bless and inspire me every day.

Hugs and love to each of you, with a tall heaping of gratitude,

Lisa, you are a huge blessing in my life and never forget that! As we age life does seem to go faster and faster and it's too short for nagativity that we ALL harbor from time to time. I am encouraged and inspired by your goal and I pray the same for myself. Time to get out of unhappy situations for sure. Love you and I hope you have THE BEST DAY EVER!! Btw... your SSCC sisters have a surprise for you!! :)
Hugs!!

Happy birthday girl!!!! I can't tell you how nice it is to wish a happy birthday to someone who has become a new friend just this year. Fifty is nifty, remember that! And I tried and tried to get through to Donny for you for him to give you a quick call, but with his recent win on DWTS he's in great demand at the moment. I hear you are at Disney today, I really hope the weather cooperates and that you have fun! Good for you for making some positive life changes, would be interested to know what those are when you get a chance. Hugs and smooches!

I forgot to say my youngest, this is her 'gotcha day' so it is the day we use to celebrate as her birthday and I told her I knew a lady whose birthday was the same day and who also was adopted, she thinks that's kind of cool!

I am so glad that we went through hoops to get me hooked up to you on my email. I have never regretted it for a minute. You are so talented and then you are so willing to lend a HUGE hand in helping me to be able to do some of the techniques you use. I have also joined the Stampers in Christ thru you and gotten sooo much from those members also. Have the Happiest of Birthdays!!! Anybody who loves cats is #1 in my book. Lori p.s. I love the papers and the hodge podge stamps. and thank you so much for all of the extra help you have extended to me.

happy birthday lisa!
i was so inspired and touched by your message in today's post about God leading you. He does know the desires of our heart better than even we do at times. And His plan is so perfect for us. I know that He has an awesome one for you!
Thanks for sharing today and blessing me!
