Blogaversary Candy!

Edited to add: The winner of my Blogaversary Candy is Rachel! Thank you all for supporting me and my blog. It means the world to me!

Hello my blogging friends! Have you missed me? It's been a crazy week. First, I was working on a special project, then it was prep for Stamp Club, and then Stamp Club, and then scrapbooking night with Susan, and then a trip to Temecula wine country (more on that later), and now I'm back!!!

Anyhoo, last Sunday was my one-year blogaversary. I decided I couldn't let it go by without a bit of celebration. After all, because of my blog, I've met some awesome people, made some forever friendships, and grown in my skills and my love of this great hobby. So, without further ado, here's what I'm offering:

Edited to add: As promised in my post announcing that I've been selected as a Jr Design Team member for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, I'm sweetening the Blog Candy to include the above stamp set called Echoes of Kindness (which is what I'm getting from all of you, thank you very much!). It's a Level II Hostess set, which is retiring at the end of June. It's brand new, although I've already mounted it for you.

I've purposely selected things that will fit into a flat rate envelope so that I can include all my friends from around the world. The winner of this blog candy will receive Stampin Up's Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper II (a Hostess Level I gift), which includes Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Brocade Blue, Basic Gray and Garden Green 6 x 6 designer papers... a total of 60 double-sided sheets; Mrs. Grossman's Limited Edition Heart Collection (over 265 stickers celebrating 30 years); and two Lelo Designs stamps: Bathtub and You Go First (can you say CUTE!). Just leave a comment on this blog post (in answer to the question below) no later than 5 pm Pacific time on Sunday, June 7th. If you are one of my Followers, you will get TWO entries into the drawing, so if you haven't joined me yet, now's a good time! I will annouce the winner on Monday, June 8th in the evening. And you never know... I might just slip something extra into the package...hee hee.

Here is the question: What is your favorite way to color your stamped images?

For me, that's gotta be Copics, baby!

Thanks for stopping by! I will back soon with a card to share.

Well, Congratulations Lisa! I'm sure happy that you decided to blog. You are a very dear friend! I appreciate all of your kind comments, and love reading your blog. And it's nice 'knowing' someone in California in case DS ever has an emergency and needs a 'mom'!!! My favorite way of coloring so far is Kooh-I-Noor pencils and low odor mineral spirits. They blend beautifully, and so far, I only have four copic markers. I haven't found a class to take around here yet either! Good luck with your next year of blogging - I'll look forward to visiting! HUGS from Missouri!!!

WOW LISA!! I'm just jaw dropping shocked on the SWEET blog candy you have given us followers and new-bee's a chance to win!!

First off “HAPPY BLOG ANNIVERSARY” such and honor to get to know you and enjoying every minute of it!! Your creations are GEMS... and so inspiring!!

When I color I start with watercolor paper, then SU! markers and blend with the aqua painter. (It's the No Copics, No Problem technique!) I just haven't invested in the Copics YET and need to look at some of the links you gave me to get more info... yes, I still have them from this past winter!! You have the Copics down and your coloring is awesome!! Have a super evening.. :) Hugs... Michelle :)

YAY Lisa - congrats on your blogaversary!!!! LOVE the candy you've got going - someone is going to be very happy to get it!

My favorite colouring has to be watercolouring with aquapainter and SU crayons. But I enjoy the SU markers and Copic style of marker too - love having the choice of finish!

Lotsaluv and hugs

Hi Lisa... happy blogaversay!! Its been a lovely time for me too, getting to know people all over the place. Aren't we lucky to be linked by something as simple as paper?? Not that any of the lovely things most people create could EVER be called simple.

I'm not adventurous enough to have any Copics, yet, so I colour images with my son's cast-off Derwent Watercolour pencils and a blender pen. Occasionally I pick up colour from the lid of my SU inkpads, but my pencils give me more options.

Someone is going to be very happy when you announce your candy winner. Good luck everyone.

Lots of love.........

Happy blogaversary! I have been learned about the Copics. Fun! But I often go back to my colored pencils. I think this is like buying shoes. LOL!

Happy blogaversary, Lisa! Thank you for the chance to win some blog candy! How fun!

My favorite way to color is to use my SU Aquapainter and SU watercolor crayons, for a more subtle coloring style. I just swipe the aquapainter across the crayon and then paint the image.

Thanks again for the inspiration!

Well, good day, I just happened upon your blog while reading the SNS blog announcing thier ner DT. MANY CONGRATS !!!!!!!! To answer the question, I'm in the learning process using copics. They are the only thing I'm interested in. I so far don't have enough to do a good job but I'm working on it. I'm in the copic club with Korin from SNS.I'm thrilled to follow you. Going to the GASC in Arlington this week so maybe i'll have a chance to get some more. I'll talk with you via comments often, ms.cheryl

I love using my Copics but I will tell you that I wish I could watercolor really pretty. The shading some ladies get just really make me wish I had a little more patience with it.

Congratulations on your Blogaversary and being on the new DT for Sweet 'n Sassy!!!

Congrats on your blogoversary!
Believe it or not, my favourite way to colour stamped images is with pencil crayons or coloured pencils as the Americans say. I also use stamp pads to colour my images.

I've become one of your stalkers - er make that followers.

Congrats on the blogoversary! :D Super exciting. I'm new to the copic world and they've stolen my heart! Although my first love (colored pencils) still hold a special place in my heart! ;-)

Happy Blogaversary! I don't have any Copics. They're at the top of my wishlist though. My favorite coloring method is using my Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I want to give watercoloring a try too.

Congrats on your blogoversary...just come to check you out from the DT announcement at SNSS...congrats on that too :)

I do almost all of my coloring with SU Markers...I only have a few copics and they are mostly for skin coloring.

Thanks for the chance to win some great candy. I'm going to become a follower right now, too.

Cheers!

Happy, happy blogoversary! I know just what you mean about the friends you make while blogging :)
Another vote for Copics here - it's the only medium that makes me feel halfway artistic, so you know they are idiot proof!
