Hurray, the day is finally here! Waltzingmouse Stamps is releasing FOUR incredible new stamp sets (Vintage Ornaments, Festive Foliage, Around Christmastime, and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas) which Claire and the design team have been previewing for the past few days!!!
To celebrate, we're having a blog waltz. The fun starts at Claire's blog, so you'll want to begin there and follow along for some amazing eye candy and chances to win a prize! Two lucky people will win a stamp set of choice... one from all comments left on Claire's blog waltz post, and one from all the comments left on one of the Design Team blogs. The competition runs until 11:59 pm Eastern on Tuesday, November 9th, so you have plenty of time to make the rounds. ;)
My card features images from Around Christmastime.I decided to go with the heart theme. :) I stamped the small heart image a few times on the background paper using Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink and then sponged around the edges, first with Tumbled Glass and then with Walnut Stain. The snowman is a Tim Holtz die for Sizzix called Winter Wonder. Since my paper has some faded music notes in the background, I decided to add more to the snowman with Musical Backgrounds, again stamped in Old Paper distress ink. The snowman is likewise sponged with Tumbled Glass and Walnut Stain, and then rimmed with some course glitter.
The rosette is made from another Tim Holtz die. This time, I put the LOVE circle from Around Christmastime (stamped in Barn Red) in the middle after first edging the rosette with course glitter. Voila!
I must say, I'm enjoying using Tim Holtz stuff these days. :) And why not? They coordinate perfectly with so many of Claire's images!
Your next stop is the amazing Anya's blog! Before you go, don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a stamp set of choice! Besides, I LOVE hearing from you! :)
Enjoy!
P.S. Don't forget to join us for the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz on November 17th. The theme is Christmas!
