Christmas Wishes

Happy Tuesday! Time for another fantastic challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!

I discovered that I've forgotten how to make Clean and Simple cards when challenged to make one for today's challenge and another one later this week. It feels funny to leave off a bunch of layers and embellishments and detailed coloring. I tried different things, with one after another hitting the waste basket. I finally threw in the towel and started looking through a magazine for inspiration. That definitely helped (I hope?). I got the idea for this card from one by Teri Anderson that appears on p. 61 of  the current issue of Paper Craft Magazine's Holiday Cards & More Vol. 5.

Gina K's heavy base weight (120 lb) cardstock works well when you want to color on white cardstock but don't want ink to bleed through the back and show when the card is open. I didn't do much coloring on sweet Holiday Emily... just touches here and there with my Lipstick atYou Spica pen. It shimmers nicely IRL. I added I few red rhinestones for good measure.

Why not come and play with us this week for a chance to win a stamp from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp? I'd love to see your interpretation of CAS because I need more ideas! Be sure to jump on over to the SCRS blog to check out what the rest of the design team and Sparkle have created for this challenge. They inspire me all the time!

Have a wonderful day my friends!

  10. Love the simplicity... and I want those stiped leggings... On the other hand, maybe they wouldn't look so good. Red and white is so crisp.

And where have I been? I love your new blog layout.
