Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! We have another fantastic challenge for you this week at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!
It was a bit difficult for me to narrow down to just one favorite... there are so many embellishments that I love. But I have to admit that I most often reach for Candy Dots. For some reason, when all else fails, they always do the trick.
The sketch at Crazy 4 Challenges was perfect since it calls for three little embellies in a row, but when I made the card, the Candy Dots were dwarfed in the space. I solved that by mounting them on buttons... another favorite embellishment.
Something else I seem to be using a LOT of lately on my cards is coordinating chipboard and cardstock stickers (in this case, I used the latter). The DP and cardstock stickers are from the Oliver collection by Basic Grey.
And, of course, that's Turntable Josh as the star of my card! Isn't he the coolest? Only a true music aficionado would plug into a classic turntable! Obviously, he's in heaven listening to that album.
On a side note, my husband and I still have a collection of old vinyl, which our eldest son has latched onto... I guess those old classics are collector's items now. Paul has a lot of classic rock that's still popular these days. Me, I have Michael Jackson's Thriller album, Elton John's Madman Across the Water album, and... get this... Olivia Newton John's Physical album. What a hoot!!! I saw all three of them in concert "back in the day," as my boys would say. Good memories. What classic vinyl do you still have?
Why not come along and play with us this week at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps? You could win a free stamp!!! Not to mention, it's a whole lotta fun!
I hope you have a day where you get exactly "whatcha want"! But remember, you can't always get whatcha want, but if you try sometime you just might find you get what you need. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)
Love the colors and of course your coloring!
