What is the story that you bring?
A blessed Sunday to you, my friends! This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Today's challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is hosted by Grace Nywening. Grace is as beautiful as her name, with such a godly spirit. I feel so warm in her presence, even if we've only met on line. She just exudes joy for the Lord. I love that about her!
Grace's scripture inspiration is Psalms 95:1-3a "O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation, Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God..."
I encourage you to jump over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog to read Grace's thoughts on her scripture choice. Her challenge for us is to make a card or project that depicts music or joyful praise... and to listen to Christian music while you do!
I wholeheartedly agree with Grace... singing joyful praises is a blessing in itself. I often listen to Christian music when I'm feeling weak or weary, and it lifts me up. I also tend to burst out in Christian song every now and then, and realize that the words are exactly what I need to hear. Those who doubt the truth of God's existence don't know where to look. He is with us all the time, my friends, speaking to us through the Holy Spirit... including in song. Just listen and you will hear. I promise.
My card marries two of my favorite lines... Basic Grey and October Afternoon. The DP is from the Fly a Kite collection by October Afternoon, along with the border strip and flower. The stamp (the musical line) is from the Thrift Shop stamp set by October Afternoon. The chipboard bird is from the June Bug collection by Basic Grey.
I followed Kazan's Sketch 52 at 2Sketches4You, one of my favorite sketch challenges.
