M.A.D. Flowers?

CHAPTER 8: You can learn a lot of things from the FLOWERS...

"Never mind!" Alice said in a soothing tone, and stooping down to the daisies, who were just beginning again, she whispered, "If you don't hold your tongues, I'll pick you!"

There was silence in a moment, and several of the pink daisies turned white.

"That's right!" said the Tiger-lily. "The daisies are worst of all. When one speaks, they all begin together, and it's enough to make one wither to hear the way they go on!"

"How is it you can all talk so nicely?" Alice said, hoping to get it into a better temper by a compliment. "I've been in many gardens before, but none of the flowers could talk."

Hello everyone!  What a sweet, sunny sign of Spring it is when all of our floral friends come out to play! At the Oh, Alice! blog, we definitely agree with Alice that you can learn a lot of things from the flowers!  This week's challenge? You guessed it! USE FLOWERS on your card or project!

We have ANOTHER generous prize to give away this week!  We at Oh, Alice! are just floored at the outpouring of generosity from these wonderful companies and are thrilled to announce that this week's prize is being donated by STAMPOTIQUE

That's right!  ONE RANDOM WINNER will be chosen to WIN a $15 GC to the STAMPOTIQUE store! (They sell rubber stamps and other goodies :)   Good luck! We'll announce the winner during next week's challenge, so get those entries in by Friday, April 16th at 8pm CST!    Make sure you link your creation to Mr. Linky on the Oh, Alice! blog, and use OAC8 as your keyword when uploading to a gallery.

Here's my FLOWER card for this week's challenge:

I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #63 and used the adorable Wonderland stamp set from The Greeting Farm, which is now available in digi form (the original rubber set has been retired). The DP, flowers and brads are by Bo Bunny.

Speaking of The Greeting Farm, which is one of my FAVORITE stamp  companies, they sponsored last week's challenge at Oh, Alice!, which I missed. So I'm bringing you a double-feature this week!

Last week's challenge was:

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here..."

The challenge was to come up with your OWN M.A.D. creation:  Monochromatic and Distressed!  Here's my M.A.D. card:

That adorable image is Freaky Flutter, one of the three digi images known as the CREEPY CAKES donated by The Greeting Farm to the winner of last week's challenge. I just LOVE her! I used elements of the Taylored Expressions March Key Ingredients kit for my monochromatic creation. The DP is from the Brook collection by Crate Paper, which I distressed by using my edge tool and then inking with Ocean Mist by Papertrey Ink. The sketch is by the wonderful Cindy Haffner for the April 2nd Farm Fresh Friday challenge on the Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm blog. I'm too late for the contest, but I still love the sketch. I hope you likey my card!

I'm looking forward to a crafting day today with my friend Betty. I wish you were here, Des!

Thanks for stopping by my friends. I've been going through some "stuff" lately and haven't been around to visit your blogs in too long, but I'll be back around soon, I promise. Don't give up on me!
