He is Risen!!! He is Risen Indeed!!! Halleluja!!!
Happy Easter my friends! The scripture challenge today at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is probably the most well known and oft quoted of all: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Our challenge hostess is Kathy Winter, who is so very kind to share her sister Kristine with me (hee hee). We are fa-mi-ly! How did I get so lucky?
Kathy's challenge is to make a card/project that contains the word LOVE or something that symbolizes LOVE to you. Well, what better symbol of love than the cross?
I could write pages about my faith, my profound gratitude for Christ's sacrifice, the peace I feel in truly believing and leaning on God's promises. It's all true, my friends. I know for some of you, it defies logic. But there is evidence all around of God's existence. We simply need to open our minds and hearts to truly experience that love and the peace that passes all understanding. That is my prayer for you today and always.
My card is made with images from the beautiful Easter Blessings stamp set from Taylored Expressions. I kept it pretty simple... the image and sentiment speak for themselves. I think I'll also enter this card in this week's challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges, which is to use Kraft cardstock as your base. I love using Kraft cardstock... it's so versatile!
Please join us this week for the challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. Inktegrity is our sponsor, and one lucky player will win a $10 Gift Certificate for digi images. If I haven't convinced you, wait until you see the cards of LOVE created by our amazing design team! This is also the debut of our three new Design Sisters, Chris Olsen, Grace Nywening and Linda Lucas. Check it out!!!
Have a truly blessed Easter, my friends!
