Edited to add: Thank you Rachel for featuring my card in the Top 5 for this challenge!
Wouldn't you just love to receive an invitation to tea? I would. Actually, I'd love to give a tea party. Maybe someday I will. In the meantime, I have my invitations ready!
Just in case you forgot (*grin*), I'm Guest Designer this month at The Pink Elephant. The challenge this week is to make a Party Invitation. My kids are now a bit long in the tooth for birthday parties, and no one I know is having babies or getting married (I think I'm having a life-event dry spell!), so I thought about what kind of party I'd want to throw, and a tea party came to mind. What girl doesn't love a tea party?!
My card features stamps from Tea for Two and Turning a New Leaf by Papertrey Ink, and Very Vintage Labels No. 3 from Waltzingmouse Stamps. The colors are inspired by this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #49 at Hope Stamps Eternal. I think I'll serve these yummy looking cupcakes at my tea party. (*smile*) Wanna come?
Before I go, I have to tell you that I was THRILLED beyond words to finally meet my BBFF Kristine Breach and her lovely family in person this past Thursday night. They were here in So Cal vacationing at Disneyland, which is only 40 miles from me, so I met up with Kris for dinner at Downtown Disney and then we joined up with the rest of her family at Build-A-Bear Workshop, where her sweet daughters were in heaven making their own "bears" (actually, an owl and a frog). What adorable girls they are! And Kris's husband and her brother- and sister-in-law were all so warm and friendly. I wish we could have spent more time together, but at least we got to meet. Here are a couple of pictures to prove it!
Kris cropped herself out of this one of me and the girls. Ha! I love ya girlfriend!
I'll be back soon with more fun cards to share. In the meantime, come play with us at The Pink Elephant. I want to see YOUR invitations!
Cute invite Lisa! I'd love to go to a tea party. I remember going to those mother-daughter teas at church but it's been years!
ReplyDeleteLOL - well you see, I did you a favor by cropping me OUT of that last pic cause my hubby didn't capture my "good side" LOL. Just kidding. My eyes were half closed and my face was saying "TAKE THE PICTURE ALREADY!" LOL. Anyway, great great time with you Lisa--I keep saying it was too short, but it truly was. I'm so glad we met though. You are a hoot! You need to give me some lessons in speaking Italian! ;P
Love ya girlfriend!!
