Lala is Thinking of You!!
If you're looking for The Pink Elephant Happy Birthday Blog Hop, please scroll down.
Happy Wednesday! It's time for another La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge! I'm the lucky one who gets to be the hostess this week, and I'm challenging you to make a card without designer/decorative paper! Yep, that's right... the old-fashioned way of card-making. At least, that's how it was when I started stamping about 10 years ago. You can, however, use dry embossing on your cardstock and whatever embellishments you choose.
For inspiration, check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team and Guest Designers have created, which appear on the La-La Land Crafts blog. It's a bit of a daunting challenge, I know, but you can do it!
My card features one of my very favorite Lala stamps, Sitting Lala. The butterfly is by Basic Grey (to coordinate with the Sugar Rush DP). I'm loving my new Martha Stewart punch (which I also used on yesterday's card). The greeting is by Verve Stamps. That cool embossing is a new Sizzix embossing folder from Stampin Up (very similar to the Cuttlebug folders). I sponged a bit of white craft ink around the edges just for good measure.
I hope you'll take my challenge this week. One lucky player will win Sitting Lala! And I'll be looking at every single card. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Have a Lala Lovely Day!
P.S. I'm trying to figure out what the best Copic colors are for blonde hair. If you have a tip, please leave me a comment. I'd be very grateful!!!
