My Little Chickadee

Have I ever mentioned how much I love birds? I really do. I love their beauty. I love their song. I sometimes go to sleep at night listening to bird song on my CD player (yes, I have several CD's of nature sounds that I love to listen to as I fall asleep... right now it's ocean waves). This month at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps we are celebrating animals. Naturally, I thought of birds since they are one of my favorite animals.

This is one of my favorite SNSS stamp sets, My Little Chickadee. Unfortunately, it's currently not in stock, but more are expected later this month. Gee, I got so excited about the idea of a stamp sale that I nearly forgot to mention that my card is a flipped over version of this week's sketch at The Sweet Stop! I don't often make long cards, but always enjoy it when I do for a little change of pace.

I also decided to try the Color Throwdown #54 challenge, which was to use Basic Grey, Blush Blossom, Pumpkin Pie and Really Rust. I'm not very good at color challenges, so I'm going to try to conquer my fears and try them more often. The girls made this a bit easier for me by mentioning it was based on Basic Grey's Ambrosia paper. That, I could relate to! {LOL} In fact, I used a piece of it in my card.
