Happy Thursday! I love Thursdays because that's my day to post a card on the La-La Land Crafts blog. Have you visited the LLLC blog lately? If not, you'll want to! My card features Ballerina Marci, who will be released in rubber at La-La Land Crafts next Wednesday!!! I don't know about you, but I can't pick a favorite Marci... they are all too cute for words!

I decided to play in my alma mater sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop. Korin is still coming up with some of the best sketches around! The DP and chipboard piece are from the DeLovely collection by Cosmo Cricket. The greeting is by SRM. Marci's tu-tu and ballerina slippers are glittered up with first a raspberry and then a light pink glitter over Copic.

Right now you can still purchase Cheerleader Marci and Marci with Rose in digi form in case you want instant gratification and can't wait until next Wednesday. But for you rubber stamp fans... the wait is almost over!!!

Gotta run! Today is my last day with Debbie (sniff, sniff). She has been an absolute delight, and we've had a marvelous time. Or at least I have. Hopefully, I haven't completely blown her mind. (hee hee) We've shopped 'til we've dropped, and eaten lots of delicious food. This afternoon we plan to play in my craft room until it's time to head to LA. I can't wait until some day I can visit her in Australia.

Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release Previews!

Hooray! Today is the first of three days of previews of the FIVE new stamp sets being released by Waltzingmouse Stamps on Sunday!

Today I'm showcasing Teeny Trees, a must-have stamp set that covers every tree style and season, with lovely greetings to boot.

The DP is from the Quite Contrary collection by My Mind's Eye (love!). I stamped the trees in SU's Certainly Celery and Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint ink, and the trunks in Tim Holtz's Walnut Stain ink. I find Tim Holtz ink works really well with acrylic stamps, plus I love the colors. The little owl is by Recollections (Michael's store brand).

A very simple card, but that's what I love about this stamp set... you don't have to spend a lot of time to get great looking results!

Today we're showcasing Fall Charlotte. Charlotte and I have something in common... we both love fall!


The DP is from the Autumn Forest collection by Reminisce, the greeting is by SRM and the fence is by Darice. It's a bit bulky, but perfect for this sort of scene.

Stampin' Sisters In Christ Challenge

A blessed Sunday to you, my friends! This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

I have to apologize... I don't have a card for this week's challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. Shame on me! But I beg forgiveness... I've been really swamped with projects around the house lately and... ta da... getting ready for my friend Debbie Pamment's arrival from Australia today!!! Yes, she is flying all the way around the world to visit me for about five days and then she goes on to Washington DC to join her husband, who's there on business, and they will travel back to Australia together after a week or so. Anyway, I'm so excited to meet her in person and have girl time all week long!!!

Of course, this has meant that I've had to make an effort to put some order to this house I share with four males (let's call it five since my eldest, although living on his own, is a frequent visitor) and four fur babies. The dust bunnies and cobwebs made it seem like Halloween was already here! I swear, I can't get ahead of those darn things. Let's just say that wood laminate floors are not a good thing to have if you hate dust. And don't get me started on the subject of clutter.

Even if I couldn't play this week, I hope you will. Our challenge hostess is Grace Nywening. You MUST pop over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog to read Grace's devotional. Excellent!

Grace chose as the inspiration scripture John 4:10, 13-14 (NIV) Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

The challenge is to create a card or project that refers to water in some way, whether in image or sentiment.

Gotta run... as I write this post it's after 11:00 pm Pacific Saturday night. Paul and I have to get up at about 5:30 am to make sure we're at LAX to meet Debbie's flight on time. Goodness gracious, is it really September already? I know we all feel it... time passes too quickly. And it seems to really start speeding up once September comes. I see folks counting down the days to Christmas on their blogs and I have to close my eyes! LOL

Today is a very special day. Not only is it time for another wonderful Sketch Saturday challenge, but it's my first post as Guest Designer for Meljen's Designs for the month of September! Meljens' images are ADORABLE, just my cup of tea!

My card features Lazy Susan Buggies, which is not only adorable but so much fun to color! Our sketch this week is by the wonderfully talented Jeanette Comerford, our hostess for this week's challenge at Sketch Saturday. You will LOVE working with this sketch!

My card features Fashionably Late, one of the new Belated Birthday ala Carte stamps. I love that there is a variety of fun stamps with a belated theme because that seems to be all that ever I am lately, despite my good intentions! You might as well laugh!

Fashionably Late includes the greeting in two parts... the first part you see on my card ("I didn't forget your birthday"). The second part is on the inside and reads, "I'm just fashionably late. Hope it was great!" So fun! And I love the expression "fashionably late." That's a given here in California... no one ever shows up at a party on the dot (except my in-laws, but that's another story ;).

Because of all the new release festivities, we're not having a Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge today. However, each member of the Sketch Crew has picked a past sketch to use for her card. Exciting news everyone!!! I've rejoined the La-La Land Crafts Design Team! LOL!!! Yes, it's true!!! You might remember that I was part of La-La Land Craft's original Design Team, but stepped down at the end of June. Well, I missed "Lala Land" more than I thought I would, so when Irina opened the door for me to come back, I couldn't resist!

Things are better than ever at La-La Land Crafts with the introduction of Marci and Luka. OMGosh, are these images cute or what???? If you haven't seen them yet, then you must head on over to the La-La Land Crafts blog to see this new line for yourself. You will be hooked!!! Irina has hit a home run and then some with these darlings!!! I could just pinch their cute little cheeks! And talk about fun to color! It's all good, my friends. It's all good.
